Do you need an MOT in Hackbridge?

An MOT is an essential part of your car’s maintenance. If your car requires an MOT, we can arrange for this to happen at a local MOT testing centre. During an MOT test, technicians will thoroughly examine your vehicle, including the interior and exterior, under the bonnet and the chassis or frame.

All aspects of the test are documented. In the event of a successful inspection, you will be issued with a ‘pass’ certificate. For items that do not constitute a failure but may require attention in the future, they are flagged as ‘advisory’ items.

When a vehicle fails an MOT, it cannot be driven again until the problems are fixed. Our car mechanics can carry out all the necessary repairs and advise you regarding the best steps to take.

Our team guarantees quality work on all car services and repairs. Another customer said:

Excellent service, I’ve been going to DRA since I got my first car. Daniel and Martin have always given first-class service, done quickly, thoroughly and to the best of quality always. I could not recommend more.

Our mechanics will organise MOT testing at trade prices, so you always get the best deal. For pictures of recent work, please see our gallery.

I recently purchased a Nissan Elgrand and wanted to get it checked over ready for a road trip with the family. After some research I found DRA Services who are specialists in these vehicles and emailed them. I was contacted back by Karen who was very helpful and I made the booking. Martin who worked on the car is very knowledgeable on these cars and contacted me with some issues which he had found. He took the time to explain the problems and was honest in what needed to be done now and what could be left for now but keep an eye on. I was impressed with the work carried out and Martin’s honest opinions. I will be returning!

Visited this afternoon at short notice in relation to issues with a BMW 5 Series. Martin could not have been more accommodating and helpful. He talked through the diagnostic results and explained aspects in a comprehensive but easy to comprehend fashion. I would highly recommend his services and will return for any issues. Huge thanks Martin 👍

Great service and always great work done. I took my car there few years ago and I’m not taking it anywhere else ever since. Apart from the fore mentioned, I feel like they genuinely want to help, which is very rare nowadays. Highly recommend! And thanks again for fixing my car.

Prior to their closure, I took my cars to a trusted garage. Since that point, I had been on the hunt for another trusted garage (which I believe can be difficult at times). But thankfully I came across DRA. From making an initial enquire via email (promptly answered), receiving a quote for the work needed, receiving an update on when the work was complete to making payment and collecting my cars (2 cars have been taken here so far at different points), I would find it a struggle to go somewhere else. As of recently, they were very very understanding regarding a payment issue, which can be stressful for both sides the customer and garage, but they were understanding and not aggressive in any manner. If you're looking for a garage that is honest, reasonably priced and professional, you've found it.

Excellent in all respects, servicing and fixing my Mazda Bongo. Clearly listened to what was needed, in depth investigation of problem, crucially stocked the needed Bongo parts, clear communication. Evidently knows Bongos inside out. Runs great now, I am very happy. Graham.

Excellent work done on our Bongo - so thorough and with great communication throughout!

My usual garage was closed for Christmas and I had a problem that could not wait. Martin was absolutely fantastic in identifying the problem and giving me honest feedback. Being a woman who knows little about cars it feels like I'm at risk of being scammed because I simply don't have in depth vehicle knowledge - there was none of that whatsoever. He explained things well, clearly, honestly and realistically. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here or recommend. Just a good local honest mechanics.
Hugh Williams
Martin is great - super knowledgeable, helpful and above all honest and flexible. DRA have been great and I will be bringing both my car and campervan here going forward.
Stephen Fernandes
Very glad I came across DRA while searching for a local mecanic.. after being let down badly by another garage, I was looking for a diferent mecanic and came across DRA, give them a call and Karen was very helpfull and efecient, took my notes on my car issues and gave me a call back the day after with a quote ready, book for a couple of days ahead, met Martin when dropped off the car which then gave me a call go trough MOT failures and we agreed on works to be carried. Despise being quite a couple of rather serious failures, I picked up the car the day after, with MOT passed and issues sorted. No messing around, straight forward, fair price and great service. Thanks Martin and Karen, much appreciated!
Paula Wilkinson
Soooo handy this place being relatively local as poor Vera the Bongo needed help beyond our ability. Friendly, helpful staff who do a good job and do what they can to keep down costs where they can. I suspect that, being Bongo owners, we'll be putting more dosh in the DRA coffers from time to time! Worth it though.
Harry
Excellent service. Martin and team know everything there is to know about bongos!
Josefeen Foxter
I’ve been coming here for years with my Bongo. I drive all the way from Hackney because Martin is the absolute best- super knowledgeable, genuinely committed to doing an excellent job, trustworthy and reasonable and transparent with his prices. Thank you Martin!

Martin is the most trustworthy, helpful, honest mechanic I have ever come across! He bent over backwards to repair my car after it had endless problems from another garage. I can’t rate him high enough and recommend him to everyone!

    • I've been going to D.R.A for a while and when I had my first car a Peugeot 206, they were so friendly and honest which was important to me as I had no clue about cars. Therefore, I always went to them for anything because I knew they wouldn't try to take advantage of my inexperience. They are efficient, experienced, reliable and honest mechanics. I recommend to anyone especially anyone who have trust issues with mechanics 😊

    • Brilliant work carried out on my Ford Focus ST. Sorted out all of the issues which meant it flew through its MOT with no issues. Amazing knowledge on all brands, let me know some bits which might need to be done soon as maintenance work but not needed yet!
